Overview
Three is Whole

The project aimed to explore how light and physical elements can be used to distinguish the three spaces in the room. The light from outside is diffused by the skylight providing a soft, relaxed light at the entrance level. The shogi-inspired screen functioned as intended, creating a sombre atmosphere in the lower crawl space and allowing a muted light into the upper sleeping space. The column maintained the geometric theme while also forming a passage into the upper area. The fabric material as shown in the render allows the column to be used as a noticeboard injecting utility in the space. Overall, the project was successful as each of the three spaces possessed different atmospheres.
